Advanced Battery Cooling

AITS is actively working with EV and EREV OEMs to provide our technical expertise to resolve the heating and cooling challenges.  We have the experience and knowledge to provide  OEMs with the optimal battery or electronic cooling solutions for their hybrid or electric vehicles.

The high voltage (HV) battery is the heart of every EV. It provides energy to run all electric motors and to thermally condition the cabin. The battery also has its own "comfort/happy temperature zone" for peak performance. Air International recognizes high performance in all conditions requires designs that manage both power and thermal conditions.

Even while charging (plug-in mode), both cabin and battery thermal conditions must be managed to provide maximum power prior to vehicle usage. This process is called preconditioning.

There are two type media used in HV battery thermal management systems: air and coolant. The coolant media system usually requires less packaging space than the air media.
